Drive Across Lunar Landscapes
Enjoy a unique drive through vast lava fields covered in moss, giving the area an almost otherworldly, lunar appearance.
Kleifarvatn Lake
Our first stop is the mysterious Kleifarvatn, the largest lake on the peninsula. Surrounded by rugged hills and geothermal activity, the area has a quiet and haunting beauty.
Krýsuvík Geothermal Area
We continue to the colorful geothermal fields of Krýsuvík, where steaming vents, bubbling mud pools, and vibrant mineral deposits create a powerful display of Iceland’s volcanic energy.
Grænavatn Crater Lake
A short stop at this striking green crater lake offers incredible photo opportunities, with its vivid color contrasting against the dark volcanic surroundings.
Gunnuhver Hot Springs
Next, we visit Gunnuhver, a dramatic geothermal area filled with intense steam and boiling earth. The site is tied to local folklore about a restless ghost, adding an extra layer of intrigue.
Reykjanesviti Lighthouse
We head to Iceland’s oldest lighthouse, standing on a rugged coastline with powerful ocean waves crashing against the cliffs.
Bridge Between Continents
Walk across the symbolic bridge connecting the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, a unique opportunity to stand between two continents.

Return to Reykjavík
After a day exploring volcanic landscapes and coastal beauty, we return to Reykjavík in the afternoon.
Please Note
Before setting off on your unforgettable journey through Iceland’s stunning landscapes, please take a moment to review the important information below. This helps ensure your experience is safe, comfortable, and tailored to your needs — from accessibility to weather preparation.
Accessibility
Our tours are conducted in private vehicles and can often be customized for travelers with limited mobility. However, some natural sites such as waterfalls, beaches, and viewpoints may involve uneven terrain or short walks that may not be fully wheelchair accessible. If you or someone in your group requires mobility assistance or a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Infant and Child Safety
Our tours are family friendly, and infant or child seats are available upon request. Please let us know the number and ages of children in your group before departure so we can provide the appropriate safety equipment.
Weather and Conditions
Iceland’s weather is famously unpredictable and can change quickly. For safety and comfort, itineraries may occasionally be adjusted due to weather or road conditions. Your guide will always ensure you experience the best possible locations while prioritizing safety.
Clothing and Footwear
We recommend wearing warm, layered, and waterproof clothing as conditions can be cool and damp throughout the year. Sturdy, non slip footwear is essential when exploring areas around waterfalls, beaches, and hiking paths. Even in summer, temperatures near glaciers and waterfalls can feel chilly.
Tour Duration and Activity Level
Most tours are full day experiences lasting approximately 10 to 12 hours, including scenic stops and short walks. Activity levels are generally light to moderate, and the pace can be adjusted to suit your preferences and comfort.
Pickup and Drop Off
Convenient pickup and drop off are available at your hotel, guesthouse, or preferred location in Reykjavík or nearby areas. Private transportation ensures comfort and flexibility throughout the journey.
Safety and Equipment
Any required safety equipment for outdoor or adventure segments will be provided by your guide. All tours are led by experienced professionals who prioritize safety and ensure every guest feels comfortable and well looked after.
Our tours offer a personalized and flexible experience for travelers of all ages. Whether you are traveling as a couple, family, or private group, every detail is designed to provide a smooth and memorable journey through Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes.
What Should I Bring?
Prepare for a day of adventure exploring Iceland’s dramatic landscapes. To make the most of your experience, we recommend bringing the following essentials for comfort and safety.
Warm Layered Clothing
Iceland’s weather can change quickly, so dressing in layers is key.
-
Thermal base layers
-
Fleece or wool mid layer
-
Waterproof and windproof jacket and pants
Sturdy Waterproof Footwear
Comfortable hiking boots or shoes with good grip are recommended, as many locations feature uneven or slippery ground.
Cold Weather Accessories
Bring gloves, a warm hat or beanie, and a neck gaiter. Even during summer, areas near glaciers, waterfalls, and the coast can feel quite cool.
Sunglasses and Sunscreen
Sunlight reflecting off glaciers, water, and black sand can be bright. Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended even on cloudy days.
Snacks and Water
Although café stops are often available along the way, bringing light snacks and a refillable water bottle is a good idea. Iceland’s tap water is among the cleanest in the world and can be refilled anywhere.
Small Daypack
A small waterproof backpack is perfect for carrying essentials such as extra layers, snacks, water, and your camera.
Camera or Smartphone
Iceland offers incredible photo opportunities everywhere you go. Bring a fully charged phone or camera, and consider a power bank so you don’t miss a moment.
Pro Tip: Dress in layers, pack light, and be ready for changing weather. With the right preparation, your journey through Iceland will be comfortable, smooth, and unforgettable.
